What is Purebiketours?
Purebiketours is an innovative young Adventure Company with a proven ability to provide quality motorcycle adventures that represent real value for money. Our attitude is to ride as part of a small intimate team with likeminded individuals to remote locations that have rarely been seen or travelled. Thoughtful of our environment, PBT are small team - low impact motorcycle adventures.

I financially protected?
Totally - we work in explicit detail to offer our clients the best. Purebiketours have full liability insurances for your safety, with the highest level of financial security for your money, guaranteed. Having teamed up with IPP Ltd (International Passenger Protection Limited), a market leader in the travel industry, we continuously strive to provide our clients total peace of mind with quality unrivalled.

Your prices are lower than other companies. Why?
As a young innovative company, we’re not huge fans of hype or bull. And because one established **operator tried to put us out of business, we never mix our words. Answering your question in a nutshell - we don’t cheat our clients, we don’t use scams to disguise inflated prices and we don’t put-down other operators. At PBT we set our prices with “realistic intent”. Then only to discover later, the rest are falling over each other discounting their expensive tours, without any significance.

Do you run your own expeditions?
Yes - we run all our own adventures. We never delegate or licence out to third parties. By galvanising the spirit of adventure, our journeys offer unprecedented access to some incredible places within the unseen untravelled Himalayas.

How many riders do you take in each group?
For all our expeditions we require a minimum of 7 riders to set off - with a maximum number of no more than 10 participants. Smaller the team make the best of an incredible journey.

Besides the expedition guide, how many staff travel on the journey?
With 10 riders, there will be a team leader and tail-end rider, one mechanic and two drivers. If the rider team has 7 or less riders, there will be one less driver, and maybe one photographer.

My wife will ride passenger. Will you have room in the support vehicle, when she can’t?
We always have contingency plans for those occasions and always keep an empty seat in the support jeep for one person wanting to rest from riding pillion.

What type of accommodation can we expect?
The *hotels we use in the main cities are of mid-range, clean and comfortable with en-suite facilities, television and often with wifi internet connection at a minimal cost. In the mountains, small towns and hamlets, family run guesthouses with clean and comfortable bedding with hot water on supply. Camping consists of luxury fixed sites with basic amenities, with hot water on demand, and on occasions with our own camping equipment and crew out in the wilderness.

All our Himalayan expeditions are Bed & Breakfast and Evening Dinner; twin sharing (same sex) occupancy. Where single-room is requested, you are advised to book as early as possible as availability may be limited locally and is on first-come, first serve bases. Single supplement will apply.

Clients who wish to arrive earlier can have their rooms booked through Purebiketours. Those of you who fancy a little luxury on your arrival and/or departure - we give you option of 5Star opulence to indulge yourself. POA!

*It should be appreciated that hotels in locations where our adventures take place will not have the same standards as of those in the UK, Western Europe or North America.

What about the food?
All breakfasts and evening dinners are included. Breakfast styles vary from location to location, but will generally consist of tea, coffee, toast, jam and honey, with omelette variations. In bigger places brownies, corn flakes, porridge and muesli, are available with exotic fruits, mangos, papaya, and some we can’t name, but very delicious. Those of you who have had Indian take-a-ways back home. Once you have tried the dishes in India, you will never view your local Indian restaurant in the same light.

Your do not include International flights?
Flights are excluded because our client’s also come from outside the UK, which allows them the flexibility to join us earlier or leave later than planned. However, we are looking into introducing flights from the UK in 2013.

How much road distance do we cover each day?
In the Himalayas the terrain and weather conditions can change at the drop of a hat. But as an indication, road surfaces vary from good tarmac to gravel to talc-powder sand. You can expect to average around 70 km’s on tough winding road sections and 150 to 200 km’s on decent to good tarmac roads; with conditions either shorten or prolong each day’s journey. Normally we aim to ride between 5 to 7 hours with stops for lunch and those all important photographs.

Do we carry our own luggage on the bike?
NO. We have a dedicated back-up team, including medic and vehicle for your luggage. Another vehicle carries all the spare parts, medical kit, emergency fuel and a seat for one person if they find the going tough. If we find there are more none-riders on tour, we can arrange an extra jeep.

Do I need special off-road training to ride with PBT?
NO. It’s an individual quality and we are living proof. No off-roading for us. But we managed to cross some of the highest roads on earth including some of the most dangerous. Eighty percent of our riders have had no experience of off-road experience and they have handled the landscapes and terrain brilliantly. Including a canny 70year old Scotsman who ridden with us twice and on both occasions rode to the highest pass in the world.

Where have your clients come from?
Our riders are from Canada, USA, France, Germany, Czechoslovakia, New Zealand and UK...

**Before PBT, handful of established operators commanded high prices. Therefore, we immediately became the target of the owners of Blazing Trails Tours, Damon and Suzie I’ason ran “Dirty-dig” internet campaign. Fabricated lies about one of our clients (who is UK’s business development manager for Hewlett Packard), and have used their client’s blogs to mention Purebiketours.
